In an Instagram post, Wilson said, “After a long and strenuous process, I am happy to announce that I’ve decided to further my academic and athletic careers at the United States Naval Academy. I wouldn’t have been able to get where I am today without the help of those who inspired me daily to be the best that I can be. Thank you to those who have shown me nothing but unconditional love and support.”
With the schools closed for the remainder of the academic year, Wilson will end his high-school career with a 4.0 average. He has also taken classes at New River Community College and has maintained a 4.0 average.
