The Thompson-Hagan Drug Store’s soda fountain was an important local gathering place in Christiansburg. Here are some of the regulars: Byron West, J.P. Joyner, Sandra Ridinger, Georgia Cox, and store owner Dr. Nelson Ridinger shortly before the store’s closure in 1996. Visit the museum to see promotional items given away by Thompson-Hagan and many other businesses in our new exhibit titled “With Our Compliments.” (This image from the News Messenger Collection and many more are available from the Montgomery Museum of Art & History.)
