Pursuant to Section 22.1-29.1 of the Code of Virginia, as amended to date, notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Salem will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m., October 12, 2020, in the Community Room of the Salem Civic Center, 1001 Roanoke Boulevard, Salem, Virginia, to receive views of citizens within the Salem School District regarding an appointment to fill the expiring term of one member of the City of Salem School Board. All candidates seeking appointment to the City of Salem School Board must apply in writing with résumés. Candidates may be interviewed individually by City Council.
