Roderick Snider Elliott, 82, of Blacksburg, died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020.

He was born in Montgomery County on Mar. 29, 1938, to the late Marshall Edward and Stella Snider Elliott. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Lovern Elliott; a son, Chris Elliott; and a granddaughter, Rene Sowers.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Graelen Stike; six grandchildren; and special friends Bruce Simpson and Steve Graham.

A private graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the P.A.C.C. Animal Rescue, 3430 Lee Highway, Draper, Va. 24324 or to your local humane society. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
