Members of the Montgomery County Board of Education were among those who gathered Monday evening for brief groundbreaking ceremonies to mark the beginning of work on renovations and additions at Belview Elementary School. When completed, the work at the school will include renovations to create a secure entrance and to provide teacher and student storage throughout the building. The administration area and clinic will also be renovated. New additions to the school will include classrooms, resource rooms, toilets and a new gymnasium. Exterior improvements will include a new bus canopy, an extended parent drop-off loop and turn lanes on Peppers Ferry Road.
