Christiansburg High School’s boys brought home the Region 3D cross-country championship trophy late last week. The girls’ team finished as the region runners-up.
Lawson Mecom led the boys’ team, finishing sixth with a time of 1:48.27. Teammates Nicholas McCumsey and Dillon Craig finished in the seven and eight spots.
In the girls’ competition, Christiansburg finished with 61 points behind first place Hidden Valley, which scored 34 points. Lord Botetourt was third and Bassett landed in fourth place.
Christiansburg’s Hannah Parker crossed the finish line in fifth place while McKenna Spaulding finished eighth.
