The Christiansburg Town Council will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, October 14, 2021 at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers of the Christiansburg Town Hall, 100 E. Main Street, Christiansburg, Virginia 24073. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comments concerning:
- Amendments to the Planned Commercial Development in the B-3, General Business zoning district at 2705 Market Street NE by NRV Marketplace LLC(known as the Marketplace shopping center) to allow multi-family residential uses as part of the overall site masterplan, increased building heights and reduced onsite greenspace from the B-3, General Business standards, and a reduced residential parking requirement for the independent living multifamily use on Tax Parcel 436 – ((5)) – 1. The Planned Commercial District also includes Tax Parcels 436—((5))—B, F, I, L, and M and Tax Parcels 406—((7))—E and K. The overall site is approximately 28.9 acres. This Planned Commercial Development was originally approved by Town Council on September 24, 2019. The property is designated as Business/Commercial on the Future Land Use Map of the 2013 Christiansburg Comprehensive Plan.
Town Hall will be open and public comment can be made in-person.
