The New River Valley Regional Jail has announced that Kim Haug, who has 20 years of law enforcement experience with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, is leaving the department to head up the regional jail as its new superintendent.
Haug will assume her new role on July 1, 2022, upon the retirement of the current superintendent, Gregory P. Winston, after six years of service.
Haug has served the last eleven years with the sheriff’s office as captain of the Montgomery County Jail.
The 1,183-bed New River Valley Regional Jail, located in Pulaski County, is a regional cooperative venture serving Bland County, Carroll County, Floyd County, Giles County, Grayson County, Pulaski County, Wythe County, and the City of Radford.
