Delmer Ray Wyrick, Sr., 76, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, July 9, 2023, after a long, hard fight with health issues. He was born on November 27, 1946, to James H. Wyrick and Edna Caldwell of Speedway, W.Va. Delmer was employed at Pulaski Furniture in Dublin for 29 years. He was a dedicated member of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Radford. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Darlow, James and Michael Wyrick.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Vada Wyrick; daughter and son-in-law, Teena Smith (Donnie); son, Delmer “Del” Wyrick, Jr,; grandchildren, Randall Smith (Rachel), Sharon Maltby (Keir), Kimberlee Hunnicut (Trevor), Kellsie Stump (Michael), and Kristal Smith; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Lydia, Zelda, Hope and Katherine; sister-in-law, Betty Wyrick; many other family members and special friends.
The family will receive friends 3 – 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 17, 2023, at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Radford with Pastor Brent Strouf officiating.
A second visitation will be held 4 – 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at the Memorial Funeral Directory in Princeton, W.Va. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Lilly Family Cemetery in Jumping Branch, W.Va.
