Pursuant to the provisions of Section 15.2-2204; 15.2-2285 of the Code of Virginia of 1950, as amended, the Montgomery County Planning Commission hereby gives notice of a public hearing
to be held on November 13, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in the County Government Center, 755 Roanoke St., Christiansburg, Virginia, in order to hear citizen comments regarding the Planning Commission’s intention to act on the following Special Use Permit request:
\A request by DW, LLC (Agent: Ernest Woods) for a Special Use Permit (SUP) to allow an additional 10,000 cubic yards of rubble landfill for the disposal of inert debris on 2.12
acres of a 46.99-acre parcel. The property currently contains a by-right rubble landfill totaling 15,000 cubic yards of inert debris, the maximum volume of fill permitted by-
right in the Zoning Ordinance. The property is located off Brammer Lane, approximately
0.41 miles east of the intersection of Brammer Lane and Houchins Road (State Route 758). The property is further identified as Tax Map 080-5 1 (Parcel ID: 033688), 46.99
acres, zoned A-1 Agricultural in the Shawsville Magisterial District. The property
currently lies in an area designated as Rural in the 2025 Comprehensive Plan.
