Come join us for a night of music, joy, celebration and remembrance while supporting the Relay for Life of Montgomery County as we host our annual Tree of Hope Lighting Ceremony on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery and Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. at LewisGale Hospital Pulaski.
The Trees of Hope are located inside the hospital lobby during the month of December. The trees are adorned with Christmas ornaments personalized with the names of cancer survivors, caregivers and the names of those who have lost their battle. The ornaments are purchased through our Relay teams and the names are read aloud during the tree lighting ceremony.
“The Trees of Hope are a way for Relay For Life of Montgomery County to partner with Lewis Gale and show the impact cancer has on our communities. We hope through the acts of honoring and remembering loved ones impacted by cancer with the ceremonies, we can bring greater awareness to the cause and continue fighting for a cure,” said Daniel Haller, the Relay for Life Event Leader.
“The Trees of Hope are a symbol of our dedication to honor loved ones while fighting for a cure,” said Linda Howell, Relay for Life representative. “The money we raise throughout the year is used to improve the lives of people with cancer. Funds are used for research, patient support, awareness, and advocacy. Research brings new treatment options which moves us one step closer to a cancer free world.”
