The highest ritual level a Beta Sigma Phi Sorority member can qualify for was recently bestowed on Nancy Jo Waters by her Christiansburg Alpha Mu Master Chapter.
The impressive candlelight ritual was conducted by Vice President Sue B. Warden, with Carolyn K. Sowers and Phyllis Durham serving as assistants.
Waters received the Torchbearer Ritual based upon years of dedicated service and study to the Chapter and her community. She pledged to Beta Sigma Phi in February 1982 and has received awards and recognitions from the sorority, including the Order of The Rose and the Silver Circle Ritual recognizing 25 active years of membership. Waters has served several terms as Chapter President, as various chapter officers and on numerous committees. A special pin and the traditional yellow rose was presented to Waters.
A retired Long Term Care Administrator, Waters resides in Damascus with her husband, Danny.
