BLACKSBURG – Good Samaritan Advanced Illness Care and Hospice is announcing it was honored as the 2023 Large Non-Profit of the Year by the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce on December 7, 2023 at The Inn at Virginia Tech.
The Large Non-Profit of the Year was presented at the Annual Awards Celebration of the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce. Good Sam was selected from among seven finalists, including Habitat for Humanity NRV, the NRV Community Foundation, and the Montgomery County Christmas Store.
“As the region’s only community based, non-profit hospice, there is no greater honor than being recognized by the people in our service area,” said Aaron Housh, Good Samaritan President and CEO. “It speaks of exactly what we desire to be, the community’s advanced illness care and hospice. We thank each and every person who voted and congratulate the nominees.”
