Auburn High School beat Ft. Chiswell 11-4 Wednesday night to claim this year’s Region C baseball title. Offensively, the Eagles scored in each of the first five innings. Graham Alley and Landen Marrs each collected two hits (one double each) and three RBIs while Matthew Altizer added two doubles and an RBI. Auburn will host Rural Retreat on Tuesday at a time and location to be determined.
The Auburn High School softball team also took the Region C title earlier this week and will advance to the state quarterfinals.
