Virginia Tech is taking the idea of standing on the sidelines to a whole new level with the announcement for two premium areas at Lane Stadium.
The Sandman Suite and the exclusive Lane Lounge. These premium areas are designed to offer Hokie fans an unparalleled game-day experience, combining comfort, exclusivity, and top-tier amenities.
The university says the new Sandman Suite within Lane Stadium will provide a one-of-a-kind viewing experience not only for the game but for the best entrance in sports. Located at field level, the suite will offer a unique perspective of the game and provide complimentary food and beverage.
Seating 16 fans in the northeast corner of Worsham Field, the Sandman Suite will be initially available to the top three Hokie Scholarship Fund (HSF) membership levels and the top 100 HSF donors. The suite will be sold in its entirety on a per game basis, and pricing will vary based on the game and demand, offering flexibility to suit different needs and preferences. Game tickets are included in each suite purchase.
The Lane Lounge will an exclusive and intimate setting for our valued supporters. Located between sections 110 and 112 on the concourse level of Lane, this area features complimentary food options, protection from the elements, and a place to relax on gameday.
Available initially to the top three HSF membership levels and the top 500 HSF donors, Lane Lounge access is priced at $1,000 per season. Passes will be limited to 4 per account and a separate game ticket will be required.
“We are thrilled to introduce these premium areas at Lane Stadium, providing our loyal supporters with an enhanced game-day experience,” said Brad Wurthman, Executive Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs and Advancement. “These additions reflect our commitment to offering the best for Hokie Nation and ensuring that every game is a special event, while also creating new revenue streams in an effort to provide our student-athletes with an unparalleled collegiate experience.”
Spaces in these premium areas are limited and will be filled based on Hokie Scholarship Fund priority rank as of March 1, 2024. Donors in the above-mentioned groups will receive direct communication regarding their interest in these areas. Should any spots remain following the initial on sale, access to these areas will be made available to remaining Hokie Scholarship Fund donors based on priority rank.
