Scott has been a resident of the Blacksburg area since 1967. He served as an Extension Specialist at Virginia Tech, retiring in 1995. During retirement, Scott continued to enjoy traveling, entertaining grandchildren, socializing with church, golf, bridge and poker groups, and serving his community. Reading was his passion to the end. He was a lifelong University of Kentucky basketball fan and rarely missed a BHS or Virginia Tech football or basketball game.
