For the third straight year, a Radford High School quarterback is the all-county/all-city player of the year.

Peyton Dobbins, who is a junior, was 121 of 195 this season for 1,833 yards with 21 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He also rushed for 275 yards with four touchdowns.

The all-county/all-city coach of the year is Zach Leonard of Blacksburg. He led the Bruins to a 5-5 regular season. They advanced to the postseason before bowing out in the first round against George Washington. During the regular season, Blacksburg fell 18-16 to Salem after leading for most of the contest.

The offensive player of the year is running back Isayah Hamann of Auburn. Remember, Auburn did not complete a full-season for the past two years. This year, Hamann, who is only a sophomore, led Auburn to a full schedule and a 4-6 record. Wins included ones over Ft. Chiswell, Castlewood and Eastern Montgomery.

Hamann finished with 1,115 yards rushing for a 10.5 average per carry with 13 total touchdowns. He also had 11 receptions for 192 yards and three scores.

The lineman of the year is Reece Honaker of Radford, who starred on both sides of the ball. The 6-4, 257-lb. Honaker locked down the left tackle position and was also named first-team all-Three Rivers District and region.

Dobbins leads the offensive unit out of the tunnel with Hamann, Blacksburg’s Luke Mann and Christiansburg’s Sean McMurray in the backfield.

Mann was one of the most productive offensive players this season with 15 touchdowns and almost 1,200 yards. One of his biggest assets was the fact he had no fumbles.

McMurray had 104 carries with 610 yards and six touchdowns. He also collected 10 passes for 74 yards in a season that he fought off injuries and missed two full games.

The offensive line, which is the most important part of this squad, was led by Radford’s Honaker. He was joined by Hunter Blount and Parker McAllister of Christiansburg, Damon Wood of Eastern Montgomery, Owen Castleberry of Blacksburg and Lamden McCllehan of Auburn.

The receiving corps showed a lot of talent this season. Christiansburg’s Colt Howell, Eastern Montgomery’s Kellan Stewart, Auburn’s Caiden Clark, and Radford’s Tristan Carter and Jaden Hendricks were all-county/all-city.

Howell had 30 receptions for 349 yards, while Stewart was one of the bright spots for an Eastern Montgomery team, which only one game.

Clark finished the season for Auburn with 16 receptions for 246 yards. He also rushed for 225 yards with two socres.

The sophomore Carter had 41 catches for 702 yards with 10 touchdowns. He was named first team all-district and all-region. His teammate, Jaden Hendricks, added 27 catches for 368 yards.

This year’s tight end is Mack Stramm of Blacksburg after being named All-River Ridge District at his position. He provided great blocking in the run game and made several big plays in the receiving category.

Christiansburg’s Mason King was the 2025 all-county/all-city kicker.

The offensive specialist is Christiansburg’s Izaiah Cotto, who was asked to play all over the field. He would finish the season with 31 receptions with 576 yards and six touchdowns. He also rushed for 246 yards with another two scores.

Radford’s Pace Prioleau is our all-purpose player of the year. The sophomore receiver had 37 catches for 411 yards with touchdowns

Cotto was also named the kick returner for the 2025 list.

Four quarterbacks are honored as our newcomers of the year. Christiansburg’s Jeremiah Barnes, Radford’s Peyton Dobbins, Auburn’s Cameron Branch and Blacksburg’s Easton Holt.

Dobbins is also this year’s all-county/all-city player of the year.

Holt was given the uneasy task of stepping in at Blacksburg after their starting quarterback was lost for the season in Week 6.

Branch had 59 completions on 111 attempts for 861 yards with eight touchdowns. He only had four interceptions on the season. In addition, he had 157 yards rushing with touchdowns. He also had three receptions for 111 yards and a touchdown.
