Bobby Earl Gilbert, 80, of Elliston, died Friday, Mar. 29, 2024, at his home.
He was born in Welch, W.Va. Oct. 6, 1943, to the late Taulbee and Eva Pryor Gilbert. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Alma Lee Gilbert; his second wife, Barbara Lee Gilbert; a son, Bobby Lee Gilbert; brothers Jimmy, Ernie, Billy, and Roger Gilbert; and sisters Peggy Songer and Mary Miller.
He is survived by his daughters, Alice Theis (Butch), Lori Duncan and Kathy Campbell (J.D); grandchildren Jessica, Travis, Brandon, Amy, Timmy, Andy, Chris and Robin; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Pat Main; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were conducted Tuesday, April 2, 2024 in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Wes Connor and Rev. Mike Sanborn officiating. The family received friends Monday, April 1, 2024 at McCoy Funeral Home.
