Blacksburg High School jumped the 2024 golf season with a first place at the Metro Invitational at the Botetourt Country Club. Jack Albert led the Bruins this past week with a 67 to take individual medalist honors. Blacksburg tallied a 288 to set a tournament record.

Auburn High School finished in second place this past week at the Metro Invitational golf tournament. Drew Royal led Auburn with a 71, while Cody Fleet shot a 77 as Auburn finished with a 315 score.

The Christiansburg High School golf team shot a 318 total at the Metro Invitational golf tournament this past week as they finished third behind Blacksburg and Auburn. Josh Cummings led the team with a 72, and Calvin Rezac shot a 79.
