NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Blacksburg Board of Zoning Appeals will meet on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at the Blacksburg Motor Company Building, 400 South Main Street, Blacksburg, Virginia, to hear the following case:

 

BZA Case #24-001 – Appeal of a Zoning Violation in the RM-48 Medium Density Multiunit Residential Zoning District at the Historic Keister House, 607 Giles Road (Tax Map No. 226- A313). Rachel Kostelac (property owner) is appealing Zoning Violation Code-24-9 issued on September 9, 2024 for exceeding the maximum allowed occupancy of a family plus two persons unrelated to the family, or no more than four unrelated persons, and for parking on the grass at the Historic Keister House, 607 Giles Road.

 

Persons affected by this case may appear and present their views at the public hearing. Persons may also submit public comments to planning staff by e-mail. After the hearing for the case, the Board will consider making a decision on the appeal. Copies of the appeal and associated materials may be examined at the Planning & Building Department, Blacksburg Motor Company Building, 400 South Main Street, Blacksburg, Virginia on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. You may also call the office at
