Auburn ahead of East Mont in points
Auburn High School has not played a single football game this season, but thanks to Craig County counting their loss of a game with the Riner school as a forfeit, then Auburn is still receiving points from the Virginia High School League weekly rating system.
In the latest Region 1C numbers, Auburn has nine points and is above both Eastern Montgomery (0-8) and Bland (0-7). Eastern has 8.883 and Bland 8.375 points. None of those three have a chance to make the playoffs, but Auburn continues to gain points thanks to Craig’s decision. The other nine games lost by other teams when Auburn cancelled their season are being made up by other opponents.
