William “Wayne” Wirt, 61 of Elliston, passed away peacefully from his life on earth Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024. He was born in Kent County, Maryland on June 22, 1963. His passion was operating heavy equipment and going fast on anything with wheels. He loved all things outdoors and lived his life to the fullest.
He was preceded in death by his father David Wirt, Sr., mother Virginia Wirt and brother Eddie Gallimore.
Wayne is survived by his fiancé of 34 years, Audrey Scott; stepson William Scott; stepdaughter Courtney Scott; son Christopher Wirt; daughter Deidera Wirt; grandchildren Hope Scott, Lilly Wirt and Cameron Wirt; siblings Curtis Stump (Cheryl), Jimmy Wirt, David Wirt Jr., and Darlene McGuire; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial services to be conducted at The Elliston Church of God 9335 Roanoke Road in Elliston Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024 with Pastor Ronnie Duncan officiating. Family to receive friends from 1- 3 p.m. Service to immediately follow at 3 p.m.
