Find out about the proposed improvements to the intersection of North Franklin Street/Depot Street in the Town of Christiansburg during an open house public hearing. Proposed improvements include intersection reconfiguration, traffic signal modifications, access management, and pedestrian improvements. The purpose of the project is to improve traffic flow and enhance driver and pedestrian safety.
Review the proposed project plans, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) document in the form of a Programmatic Categorical Exclusion (PCE), project schedule, and funding information at the public hearing or Christiansburg Town Hall, 100 East Main Street, Christiansburg, VA 24073, (540) 382-6120. Please call ahead to ensure the availability of appropriate personnel to answer your questions.
In compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act, Section 106 and 36 CFR Part 800, information concerning the potential effects of the project on properties listed in or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places will be included with the PCE.
Property impact information, relocation assistance policies, and tentative construction schedules are available for your review at the above address and will be available at the public hearing.
