Frances Louise George Reed, 90, passed away peacefully in the company of family in Cohoes, N.Y. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024.

Frances was born in Morganton, N.C. and grew up in Radford where she attended school and graduated from Radford College. She then graduated from Meredith College in Raleigh, N.C.

Frances was predeceased by her parents Roscoe and Frances George, beloved husband Paul Reed, Jr. and her first husband Louis Worth Hine.

Frances leaves behind two children, son Louis Kennedy Hine and his wife Shannon Kilgore and their children Emma, Sarah and Jessie; daughter Cristian (Cris) Louise Hine and her children Austin and Allison; and many friends in and around Garland especially the Coldwater Creek crew.

After moving around with her young family, she spent most of her years in communities in Dallas, Texas and vicinity, eventually settling in Garland, Texas with Paul in an old farmhouse, where they enjoyed lounging by their pool, growing flowers, and playing with their dogs and cats. She worked in various retail positions including her last sales position with Cold Water Creek. Frances loved music, singing, sports cars, and going dancing with Paul and their friends.

Frances remained resilient, cheerful, generous, caring, and interested in life throughout her 90 years, even after the heartbreak of Paul’s death and the fire that took their beloved farmhouse. And when we look up at the sky at night, we will think of her and picture her spirit with Paul’s dancing across the galaxy like two shooting stars.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family, online at: SimpleChoicesCremation.com.
