High stakes and high spirits: The 2025 Radford Chamber Gala was a winning hand

RADFORD – The 2025 gala was a full house of success, bringing together community leaders, businesses, and supporters for a night of celebration at the Highlander Hotel.

Guests mingled, enjoyed casino-style games, and placed bids on an impressive silent auction featuring prizes like tee times at the Pete Dye River Course, a stunning three-stone ring from PR Sturgill, and three luxury getaway vacations, all set to live entertainment.

A highlight of the evening was recognizing outstanding achievements in our community. BT’s Restaurant was named Business of the Year, while Long Way Brewing took home Small Business of the Year honors. Keith Weltens was celebrated as Business Person of the Year, and Vittles for Vets was recognized as Non-Profit of the Year. Remarks from Executive Director Dan McKinney and our lively emcee Paul Johnson set the tone for the evening, with special Legacy Awards to two esteemed community members – retired president of NRCC, Dr. Pat Hubert, and retired Radford City Manager, David Ridpath.

With high-energy casino games, dancing, and generous contributions from local businesses, the night was a testament to the strength and spirit of the Radford community. A heartfelt thank you to our sponsors and attendees who made this event possible—we’re already looking forward to next year’s celebration.
