Waldo (Bo) Reyburn Albert, 91, of McCoy, died Sunday, Mar. 23, 2025, at his home. He was born in McCoy, Va. Nov. 20, 1933, to the late Oakley Paul and Claudine Lucas Albert. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Juanita Lilly, Rowena Hollandsworth, and Minnie Mae Albert.
Bo was a veteran of the US Army. He retired after over 30 years with the railroad, having worked for Virginian, Norfolk Western, Amtrak, and CSX. After moving back to McCoy, he was a valuable employee of McCoy Funeral Home for over 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey McCoy Albert; daughters, Sherry Deremer (Blair), and Pamela Burrell; grandchildren, Robbie Dodson, Jamie Burrell, Randi Beth Burrell (Paul Rathjen), and Haley Leckie (Tristan); great-grandchildren, Austin, Bode, Jake, Mason, and Emma; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ronald and Randall Hollandsworth and Teresa McCoy.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Mar. 26, 2025 in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary McCoy officiating. Interment followed in the McCoy Family Cemetery.
