Alma Alexander Nixon, 94, passed away Sunday, Aug. 10, 2025. Born March 8, 1931, she was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Pierce Harper Alexander; her husband, Eugene Buster Nixon; great-grandson, Damion Wilson; and her siblings, Jack Alexander, Lester Alexander, Myrtle Hawkins and Ernest Alexander.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Diane Atkinson (Michael); son and daughter-in-law, Tony Nixon (Wilma); grandchildren and their spouses, Seth Atkinson (Elycia), Abbey Jones (Tim), Michael Wilson (Kaitlin), Christie Nixon and Kyle Nixon; great-grandchildren, Cora Holdren, Maxx Jones, Kalib Nixon, Marshall Atkinson, Zane Hollingsworth and Ensley Wilson; brother and sister-in-law, Hubert Alexander (Elaine); and many other relatives and special friends.
A graveside service was held Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025, at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin with Rev. Darlene Marshall officiating.
The Nixon family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
