The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce is re-launching its Halloween Window Display Contest, a tradition that dates back to the 1950’s.

“We’re inviting all local businesses to transform their storefronts into festive, spooky, or downright creative Halloween scenes,” MCCC announced. “Whether you’re all about the classic pumpkins and cobwebs or looking to showcase something uniquely eerie, this is your chance to stand out.”

“Thank you to the Blacksburg-Christiansburg-Montgomery County Regional Tourism, Downtown Blacksburg Inc, Main Street Connect, Montgomery County, Town of Blacksburg, and the Town of Christiansburg for working alongside us in this effort,” the announcement continued.

The deadline to register is Sept. 15. Register at https://www.montgomerycc.org/halloween/ Rules include:

Register to be a participant, it is $25 for members, and $50 for non-members. Non-members can apply the $50 fee towards membership.

Once registered you will receive a window sign from the Chamber that must be placed in your storefront or window display.

Fully decorate your storefront or office window by the morning of Friday, Oct. 10.

MCCC will snap a photo and feature it on the Chamber’s Facebook page and include it on the voting website.

Voting will be open to the public – the display with the most votes wins.

Winners will receive bragging rights, local promotion, and a prize package from the Chamber.
