THE NRV MPO SEEKS PUBLIC INPUT
FOR THE NRV PASSENGER RAIL FOR THE NRV PASSENGER RAIL
STATION PEDESTRIAN, BICYCLE, STATION PEDESTRIAN, BICYCLE,
AND TRANSIT CONNECTIVY AND TRANSIT CONNECTIVY
STUDY STUDY
Find out about study progress and potential pedestrian,
bicycle, and transit connectivity improvements
to access the NRV
Passenger Rail Station
in Christiansburg. The
meeting will be held at the
Town of Christiansburg’s
Town Hall, in the Council Chambers, located on the
second floor at 100 East Main Street, Christiansburg,
VA 24073 on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 4:00
to 6:00 pm. In addition to the in-person meeting,
public meeting materials will be posted by May
14th on the New River Valley MPO’s website at
www.newrivervalleympo.org. They will also be
available for review at the office of the New River
Valley MPO. Please give your written comments at
the meeting or submit them via USPS to the NRV
MPO’s office, located at 755 Roanoke St. Ste. 2I,
Christiansburg, VA 24073. You may also e-mail your
comments to nrvstudy@rkk.com. Comments for
this study will be received until 5:00 PM, June 11th,
2026.
This public notice and opportunity to comment on
the NRV Passenger Rail Station Pedestrian, Bicycle,
and Transit Study meets the program of projects
requirements as established by the FTA pursuant to
49 U.S.C. Section 5307(c).
The NRV MPO ensures nondiscrimination and

accordance with Title VI and Title VII of the Civil
