
Ariel Mullins, a softball player at Auburn High School, has been named the Virginia High School League’s (VHSL) Class 1 female scholar athlete.
She receives a $2,000 scholarship and is the third scholar-athlete in Auburn history to win the prestigious award.
To achieve recognition as a VHSL Class 1 Female Scholar Athlete, recipients must follow these guidelines:
Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher throughout the academic year.
Participate in at least one VHSL-sanctioned sport during the school year.
Demonstrate sportsmanship and leadership on and off the field.
Complete the required application and submit it by the deadline.
Obtain recommendations from coaches or teachers highlighting your achievements.
Balance academic and athletic commitments effectively to showcase dedication.
