Claudia Johnson Gusler, 78, passed away Friday, June 12, 2026, at her home in Pulaski. Born Sept. 24, 1947, Claudia was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Clara Johnson; her father, Claude L. Johnson; her brother, Tom Johnson; her niece, Tara Carrico; her husband, James Allen Gusler; and their daughter, Julie Christian Gusler Cox.

Claudia is survived by her loving daughter, Heather Gusler Flynn (Michael) who was a constant source of care, comfort and support; her grandson, James Adam Blake Cox, who lovingly called her MiMi and held a very special bond with her; her son-in-law, Anthony Cox; sister, Kathy Carrico, who shared many cherished memories with her; her dear friends, Donna Ornes and Linda Jones, whose friendship brought her great joy throughout the years; niece, Amber Carrico Wilson (Randy); goddaughter, Elisha Ornes; and her two cherished dogs, Gracie and Charley, who were faithful companions and brought her joy daily and comfort.

Claudia found great joy in working in her yard where her love of flowers created a beautiful landscape that reflected her care, creativity and attention to detail. Her yard was a source of pride and enjoyment admired by all who visited.

Claudia had a deep love for God and faithfully followed Jesus Christ throughout her life. She found comfort and guidance in reading her Bible and living out her faith each day.

With her faith made sight, she is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior, reunited in heaven with her cherished husband and devoted daughter.

A lifelong member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church, Claudia will be laid to rest at the Virginia Conference Cemetery, Dublin VA by their side.

No services are planned at this time.

The Gusler family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
