Several graduating seniors from Radford High School have been honored for their work on the athletic field and in the classroom.

Lydie Pratt has received the female B’nai Brith athletic and achievement award.

The annual event honors student-athletes who have excelled not only in competition, but also in the classroom and their communities. The program’s highest honors are awarded each year to one male and one female athlete who have distinguished themselves throughout their high school careers.

Based in Roanoke, the Roanoke Jewish Federation hosts the B’nai Brith athletic and achievement awards.

Established in 1951, this highly regarded local program recognizes outstanding graduating high school seniors from across the Roanoke and New River valleys. Nominees are chosen by faculty from participating high schools.

Each year, the top overall male and female student-athletes are awarded the prestigious trophies at a banquet held at Hotel Roanoke.

Mattox Adams was awarded the “Peyton Brewer Memorial Award” for being most outstanding female athlete for RHS volleyball. She also received the Elizabeth and Melburn Williams scholarship presented during end of the season awards ceremony.

Volleyball teammate Lily Elhady was given the SOAR Virginia scholarship.
