Anna Elizabeth Farley of Blacksburg passed away June 26, 2026, at the age of 80.
Born July 28, 1945, in Lucasville, Ohio, she went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by her loving family. Anna was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Ralph Gene Farley; her parents, John and Grace Sheets; and her brothers, Ronald Sheets (Marilyn) and John Sheets Jr. and her beloved dog Maggie. She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Farley Davis (Jeff) and Mary Ann Clifford (Mike); her grandchildren, Dale Davis (Kari), Jake Davis (Taylor), Kyle Clifford and Kayla Wiley (Michael); and her great-grandchildren, Logan, Beau and Brooks Davis, and Wesley, Aubrey and Emerson Clifford. Anna’s greatest joy was her family, and she delighted deeply in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. An avid gardener, she grew a large vegetable garden and loved caring for her beautiful flowers. She also enjoyed bowling, horseback riding, and showing horses—most especially alongside her beloved horse, Tony. Committed to her community, Anna also dedicated many years to volunteering with the VFW, 4-H and the Girl Scouts. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. The family extends special thanks to Kim Rector, Gary Jackson and The Virginia Tech Center on Aging for their dedicated care and support. Flowers are welcome, or donations may be made in Anna’s memory to the Blacksburg First Wesleyan Church. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, June 30, 2026 in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor John Hopkins officiating. Interment followed in the Westview cemetery.
