Dr. Lori Comer was approved as the new principal at Belview Elementary School at last night’s school board meeting. She will assume her new role on July 1. Dr. Comer has more than 10 years of principal experience in Mercer County Schools.
“I am passionate about doing the best for all students and providing them the best possible education,” said Comer. “I look forward to joining the great school community at Belview.”
“Dr. Comer’s experience combined with her passion for community schools makes her an excellent fit for Belview,” said Superintendent Mark Miear. “We are excited to welcome her to Montgomery County.”
Comer received a bachelor’s degree from Bluefield College, a master’s degree from Virginia Tech, and a doctorate of education from Marshall University. She has more than 20 years of teaching experience and 10 years of principal experience in Mercer County Schools.
