Terry Lee Testerman, 71, of Elliston left his temporary home and went to his permanent home with the Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018. Terry was a proud Vietnam veteran, serving in the United States Army as a surgical nurse.
Above all else he was a servant of God and a devoted husband and father. Terry was a man of great character, putting others before himself. Through his years of suffering and pain he would constantly have a smile on his face and willing to tell you about his faith in God. Those years of pain and suffering came to an end when the Lord welcomed him home.
Terry follows in death his mother, Sammie Ruth, father, Claude McKinley and sister, JoAnn. He leaves behind his loving wife, Phyllis “Tootie Frootie”, son, Mac “Big Bud”, a brother, George “Sonny” and three sisters, Claudette, Carolyn Sue, and Kathy.
The family gives warm thanks to Amedisys Hospice for the kindness and compassion shown to Terry and the family.
Funeral Services were conducted Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018 in the North Fork Baptist Church with the Pastor Danny Collins officiating. Interment followed in the North Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to North Fork Baptist Church, Ellett. The family received friends prior to the service at the church. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
