Charlotte June Creed, 85, of Shawsville, died Monday, Mar. 11, 2019, at English Meadows, Blacksburg. She was born in Carter County, TN on June 24, 1933 to the late Ray Alton and Grace Robinson Kelley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Benjamin Creed. She is survived by her special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary and Linda Creed; special aunt, Charlotte (Teatle) Smith; special niece, Sharon Dalton; Goddaughter, Niki Shumate; cousins, Dean Robinson, Anna Ruth Pierce, Frances Stoneburner, Vernon Robinson, Trampus and the Bowers family; sister, Elizabeth Brammer; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Clyde and Jeanette Creed, Wilford Creed; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Mar. 14, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sean Couch officiating. Interment will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at: www.alz.org/donate, in memory of Benny and June Creed. The family will receive friends from 11:30 – 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
