Recognition to be given for exemplary service in local hospitality and travel industry
CHRISTIANSBURG – Montgomery County VA Regional Tourism Office is seeking employers and employees to nominate deserving coworkers for the 2019 Go to Town Hospitality Awards.
This new awards program seeks to recognize and show appreciation for employees in the local hospitality and travel sector. Recognition will be given for consistent exceptional service to visitors of Montgomery County. An awards ceremony is scheduled for May 22 at the Great Road on Main event venue in downtown Christiansburg.
The Montgomery County Hospitality Awards will provide an opportunity to applaud those working in the local hospitality industry who consistently provide outstanding service to the visitors and citizens of the Montgomery County. Employers and staff are encouraged to nominate fellow staff and volunteers who embody gold-standard work in one or more of the following categories: attractions, off-site catering, lodging, restaurant, green hospitality, outstanding customer service, and the GoToMontVA Rising Pineapple Award created specifically for students of hospitality and tourism related curriculum. Nominees for the green hospitality and outstanding customer service awards may be employed in any of the four hospitality sectors. A nominations committee will review nominations and select awardees. Invitations will be sent out to the nominees following the review. Nominations must be received by April 15. The award nomination form is available in both printable and electronic formats at www.GoToMontVA.com/Awards.
