Christiansburg Library and the Friends of the Library are happy to announce the return (and expansion) of our free concert series. Each month one talented local band will play a concert on our lawn after hours.

Bring lawn chairs and blankets for an evening under the stars feel free to bring a picnic as well. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be held inside the library.

Root2 Music is the musical intersection of Deep South country blues and Celtic/Appalachian fiddle music. Saturday, June 15, 7:00-8:30 p.m. – Gina & Jason Dilg
Help us celebrate Mountains of Music Homecoming with Gina & Jason Dilg. Gina and Jason Dilg are based in Southwest Virginia, and play the foot-stomping dance tunes and old country ballads of the American string band repertoire. Saturday, July 27, 7:00-8:30 p.m. – Indian Run Stringband
The Indian Run Stringband from Blacksburg, VA plays fiddle and banjo foot stomping dance tunes and sings traditional songs with old time harmonies perfect for dancing the two-step. Woody and Marcia McKenzie have been playing together since they were married in 1983. Their unique blend of contemporary and original folk, traditional music of southern Appalachia, and fun and silly songs means there is plenty of fun for everyone.
