two books will be at the Christiansburg Public Library to discuss his books “Sudden Spring” and ”A Natural Sense of Wonder: Connecting Kids with Nature Through the Seasons.” 6 – 7 p.m. There will be books available for sale for $25.
Coloring for Adults
Coloring Therapy for Adults 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. at the Radford Public Library. Join us for coloring and chatting! Don’t worry about the art supplies, we’ll provide everything you need. Just bring your inner child.

Benefit Service
The Tri-Community Revival Committee of the NRV is sponsoring a Benefit Service for our dear beloved young brother, Pasquan T. Claytor. He is currently in the Children’s Hospital in Norfolk after a long period of treatment locally at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. A benefit will be held at First Baptist Church, 555 West Rock Road, Radford at 4 p.m.

Entries needed for Blacksburg’s July 4th Parade
The Mount Tabor Ruritan Club is sponsoring the 33rd annual Blacksburg 4th of July Parade. They invite you to participate with your floats, bicycles, wagons, marchers, walkers, antique/classic cars, race cars, horses, fire engines, scouts, bands, sports teams, etc. The parade will begin at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 4 at the Old Blacksburg Middle School on Eheart Street and will end on Alumni Mall on Virginia Tech’s campus.For information contact Gavin Faulkner at 540-449-6178 or gavin@rowanmountain.com. Community Health Center of the New River Valley helps adults access VA health coverage
Beginning Jan. 1, 2019, new health coverage for adults will cover more people. If you work in retail, construction, childcare, landscaping, food service or many of the jobs that don’t offer health insurance, you may be able to get low-cost health insurance that includes regular preventive care and treatment for chronic health conditions. Montgomery Museum volunteer opportunities
A number of volunteer opportunities are available at the Montgomery Museum.
Docent: training is provided for individuals to staff the front office, answer calls, make sales, and interpret the history of the museum; events planning: planning and implementation of our major events annually, including Heritage Day, Mountains of Music, h’Arts on Main, Cruisin’ Christiansburg; Working with any of the committees: (Membership, Marketing, Events/Fundraising, Building Expansion, Building and Grounds); research with genealogy projects: working with the genealogy team; gardening: working in the garden with Virginia Master Gardeners.
