Pulaski Yankee games earlier start times, new and familiar voices make the calls

All home games at Motor Mile Field at Calfee Park for the 2019 season will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the exception of an 11 a.m. first pitch on Field Trip Day on August 20.

The change to the Yankees’ standard start time comes as a result of a motion passed at the 2018 Baseball Winter Meetings in Las Vegas stating that all Appalachian League games will be scheduled to start no later than 6:30 p.m.

“While it is a change from years past, we hope this new start time will be advantageous for both our players and our fans,” said Betsy Haugh, general manager. “Games should end earlier as a result of the 6:30 start, which fans should enjoy, especially on weekday games.”

Local sportscaster Rick Watson returns as the Voice of the Pulaski Yankees for all 34 home games this season. Watson is the director of radio broadcasting and the Voice of the Highlanders for over 19 years.

Kevin DiDomenico will join the radio broadcast team for all 34 away games this season. He has served as the play-by-play broadcaster for Bridgewater College football, basketball and baseball.

WRAD Talk Radio will serve as the flagship station for all Yankees games – home and away – during the upcoming season.

All 68 games and, potentially, playoff games will be broadcast on WRAD Talk Radio Network on 101.7, 103.5, and 1460, online at wradradio.com, or by using the TuneIn app.
