Blacksburg’s sixth annual Blues, Brews, and BBQ will take place today, Sept. 28, from noon to 5:30 p.m. at the St. Luke & Odd Fellows Hall, 203 Gilbert St.
This year’s lineup includes the JoJo Stockton ‘s band, the Woogemen, Hoppie Vaughan and the Ministers of Soul, Lady D, the Blue Monday Band, Becki and the Boom Booms and Samantha Gray .
In an effort to reduce waste, the event will use sustainable stainless steel cups that will be for sale at the event and include one drink ticket. You may also bring your own reusable 16 oz cup to use.
Vendors for the event will include Creole That – BBQ; Virginia Eagle – beer; Buffalo Wild Wings – BBQ chicken wings; Toby Bullion – antiques, man cave items; Unique Repeats – vintage furniture and glassware; NAACP – information; King James Vintage – records, cassettes, cassette players, radios, hats, boxes, jewelry, curiosities etc.; Lanoue – vintage clothes, shoes, books, jewelry and accessories; New River Blues Society – raffle tickets for a basket, t-shirts, memberships; Paper Moon Vintage – vintage goods; NRV Diaper Pantry – information about the Diaper Pantry with an area for nursing moms; Hethwood Market – kettle Corn & lemonade; Big D’s BBQ – BBQ; Big Lick Ice Cream – ice cream truck; Colors Magazine – information booth
