The Christiansburg Recreation Department held its annual Tony Huddleston Trout Rodeo last week at the Izaak Walton League pond off Denhill Road. Rylan Hubble landed this monster (5.488 pounds) to take home the trophy for the biggest fish. This year’s catch set a new event record.
_ Individual winners at the trout rodeo included: (from left) McKenzie Starkey, first place in the 13-15 year old category; Kyree McKinney, second place in 13-15 year olds; and Wyatt Willis, third place 13-15 year olds. Not pictured: Carroll Yonker, first place 10-12 year olds; Joshua Pithua, second place 10-12 year olds; and Jacob Young, third place 10-12 year olds.
