William Gernon Wall, II, 81, of Radford, passed away Monday, Nov. 11, 2019. Bill graduated from Radford High School in 1956 and from Virginia Tech in 1959. He retired from the Department of Defense in 1995 after 33 years of service. Bill was the oldest active living member of the Radford Kiwanis Club and was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Radford.
His passions were working on his family farm, spending time at his house on Claytor Lake and following and attending football games for his beloved Virginia Tech Hokies. Bill was a Hokie Pioneer season ticket holder since Lane Stadium was built in 1965.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Dot Wall of Radford; son and daughter-in-law, Trey and Christina Wall of Charlotte, N. C.; daughter and her partner, Lea Wall and Jeff Bandel of Radford; and grandchildren, Jacob and Madison Wall; his two dogs, Mater and Maggie and a host of other animals on his farm; and many other relatives and friends.
The family received friends on Friday, Nov. 15, 2019 at the Mullins Funeral Home of Radford. Services will be private.
