Paul Mylum promoted to Executive VP, Chief Lending Officer at National Bank

F. Brad Denardo, Chairman, President, and CEO of National Bank, is pleased to announce the promotion of Paul M. Mylum to Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer.

Mr. Mylum began his banking career in 1993 and has served with both regional and community banks in the New River Valley prior to joining National Bank as Senior Vice President of Loans in 2012.

“We would like to congratulate Paul on this well-deserved promotion,” said Denardo. “Paul goes above and beyond every day to serve our customers, our community and his coworkers. He is a key player on our team, and this promotion recognizes what a tremendous asset he is to our organization.”

Mylum currently serves as Board Member, Executive Committee Member, Reunion Committee Chair and Vice President of Properties for the Smithfield-Preston Foundation. He is Past Treasurer, Past Vice-Chairman, and Past Chairman of the Montgomery County Chamber of

Commerce. Mylum also serves as the Finance Committee Chair at Fairlawn Presbyterian

Church and is Vice President of Heron’s Landing HOA.

A native of Farmville, Va., Mr. Mylum is a Virginia Tech graduate and resident of Fairlawn, Va.

Founded in Blacksburg in 1891, National Bank is a community bank with 25 full-service offices one loan production office located throughout Southwest Virginia. The bank is a subsidiary of National Bankshares, Inc., a Blacksburg-based financial holding company with over $1.3 billion in assets.
