Radford High School’s Cam Cormany and Auburn’s Ethan Millirons are this year’s Co-Players of the Year for the all-county/all-city boys’ basketball team. Ethan’s coach and father, Terry, led the Eagles to the postseason and for his effort, he is the 2020 all-county/all-city boys’ basketball Coach of the Year.
Auburn finished 21-7 this season after winning the Mt. Empire District and was the Region C runner up, slipping by Grundy in the state playoffs to advance to the state championship game, which was cancelled.
Millirons led the Eagles in scoring, averaging 21.9 points per game that included hitting 67 of 171 shots from behind the three-point arc for a 39.2 percentage. Millirons also hit 88.8 percent of his free throws and averaged six rebounds per game.
Cormany was also a sharpshooter from three-point range, connecting on 108 of 247 for a 43.7 percentage. He finished the year averaging 21.2 points per game.
Millirons and Cormany were joined on the all-county/all-city team by Cole Shepherd of Eastern Montgomery, Brock Vice of Blacksburg and MJ Hunter of Christiansburg.
