Julia Ann Thompson, 73, of Blacksburg, died, Tuesday, May 12, 2020.
She was born in Giles County, Va. on Oct. 24, 1946, to the late Claude Alfred and Mary Neice Snider. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Leon Thompson, and a son, Jackie Rose, four brothers and a sister.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Ann Rose; sons James Rose and Doodle Rose and wife, April King-Rose; six grandchildren, special grandchildren Martin Rose and Maryann (Sissy) Rose; sisters Margaret Mitchem and Rose Lang; numerous nieces and nephews, and special companions Dixie Rose, Lildude Rose and Sadie Mae Rose.
Services will be held privately. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
