Lonnie Gene Griggs, Sr., 68, of Elliston, died Monday, Oct. 26, 2020.
He was born in West Virginia on Mar. 30, 1952, to the late Woodrow and Eva Gillespie Griggs. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Helen Marie Griggs; and his brothers Arthur Griggs, Roger Griggs and twin brother Lyle Griggs.
He is survived by his son, Lonnie Gene Griggs, Jr.,; his granddaughter, Harley Griggs; four sisters, Mary Johnson, Pat Stevers, Sylvia Mustard and Dreama Griggs; and two brothers, Donald Griggs and Daniel Griggs.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 30, 2020, at 2 p.m. in the Elliston Church of God with the Rev. Ronnie Duncan officiating. Burial followed in the Hall’s Church Cemetery, Ironto.
