Christiansburg High School athlete MJ Hunter (right) has been named this year’s winner of the Debbie Snell Memorial Scholarship. Pictured with Hunter is Donald Wayne Snell, who made the presentation Friday. Snell passed away six years ago and was a well-known local athlete. The scholarship is given annually to a deserving athlete in the New River Valley.
