Availability of Environmental Document for Public Review
Substructure Repairs of the Route 813 Bridge over the Roanoke River
Montgomery/Roanoke County line.
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), is proposing substructure repairs to the existing bridge on Route 813 (Stones Keep Lane) over the Roanoke River at the Montgomery/Roanoke County line. The project limits are from 0.10 miles from the intersection of Route 813 with Route 11/460 to 0.18 miles from the intersection of Route 813 with Route 11/460.
A Categorical Exclusion level NEPA document addressing the project described above was prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and FHWA’s Environmental Impact and Related Procedures (23CFR771). VDOT (on behalf of FHWA) is now making the Categorical Exclusion available for public review.
In compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act, Section 106 and 36 CFR Part 800, information concerning the potential effects of the proposed substructure repairs on properties listed in or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places is also available for public review.
The Categorical Exclusion along with supporting study reports will be available for review for 15 calendar days following the date of this public notice.
