Radford City police have charged 29-year-old Deshawn K. Tucker of Pulaski in the forcible kidnapping of two women this past week.
According to investigators, the victims were taken by Tucker after a Jan. 10 incident at the Radford Food City parking lot on Tyler Avenue.
Police spokeswoman Jenni Goodman said the women were found in a home in Henry County after they were able to contact the Henry County Sheriff’s office by cell phone.
When police arrived, Tucker fled but later turned himself in to Henry County authorities. Police have not released whether the suspect knew the two females.
Turker is being held without bond at the New River Valley Jail on two counts of kidnapping or abduction to gain pecuniary benefit by extortion.
